Key Lime Cards is owned by Karen Avnery, in St. Charles, IL. She turned her passion for creating elegant, hand-made greeting cards into a business – and would like to use Bravo to further promote her products. Although her cards most certainly speak for themselves, Karen is turning up the volume with customer testimonials. By posting these testimonials on her website, her blog and on her Facebook page, fans will appreciate her products even more.
What motivated you to start your own company?I guess you could say it all started because of my passion for scrapbooking. I’ve enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts for as long as I can remember. I started making these cards a few years ago and giving them to friends and family members for their birthdays and around the holidays. After hearing “you should sell these” for so long I finally gave in and made it official. Now, my hobby is also my business!
What’s special about your business? My cards are very unique. You can’t find my cards anywhere else in the world. I create the designs myself, and you won’t find them at the shelves in the local store. They’re very special and fun – while a Hallmark card may accompany a wrapped present, you can give my cards to someone as the actual gift itself.
How will you use Bravo Video?Where to begin? The most obvious way would be to use it for customer testimonials on my website. In the summer months I spend my weekends at local farmers markets. Besides that, I only sell my cards online. Since online customers don’t actually get to see and feel my cards in person, I have to hope that the photos do them justice.
When customers receive my cards in the mail, I’d like to send them an email offering to capture their reaction and feedback. I am also an active blogger so I could certainly use Bravo as a way to get feedback on new designs for upcoming occasions and holidays. Then, if I designed a new card, I could post a blog entry about it and showcase a video or two thanking them for the meaningful ideas and feedback. If you want more ways, I can go on.
How did you hear about us?I’m good friends with the owner of a a few frozen yogurt shops in my surrounding area. He turned me on to the idea as he uses Bravo Video on his website and Facebook Fan page as well.
Congratulations Key Lime Cards! We applaud your designs and welcome you to our growing roster of Bravo New Business Program members!
